I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the continued support, encouragement, and patronage of all of our stakeholders.

The world today stands at a critical turning point, facing complex and diverse challenges. These range from geopolitical risks, including instability in the Middle East, to climate change, the rapid advancement of AI, the digital revolution, and Japan’s demographic decline driven by a falling birthrate and aging population. In this drastically changing external environment, we have entered our "second founding phase"; we are redefining our purpose to unlock exponential growth, going beyond the expansion of our traditional business domains. To achieve this, we have fully overhauled our management philosophy, looking ahead a decade into the future and beyond.

Our new Purpose is: "Shaping Our Blue Planet." This reflects our determination to not only foster an environmentally conscious, circular economy, but also to leverage our unique strengths. Together with our partners, we aim to be a catalyst for solving global issues and the challenges facing our planet. Our mission is to ensure an enduring blue planet for the next century. I am fully committed to embedding this Purpose at the core of our business, making it the primary engine of our growth.

To fulfill this Purpose, we have launched our 10-year Vision: "To Be a Company Driving Solutions to Global Social Issues with an Entrepreneurial Spirit." We must be a driving force for social innovation, sharpening our competitive edge even in niche domains where others hesitate to enter. While leveraging the stability of an established corporation, we will maintain an entrepreneurial spirit—tirelessly pursuing new challenges in uncharted territories. This vision also reflects our unwavering commitment to being a company where our employees work with vitality and passion, both ten years from now and for generations to come.

To realize this Vision, we have defined three Values to guide the actions of every employee: "Passion," "Innovation," and "Integrity." We will take on challenges with "Passion." We will break down organizational silos, pool our collective wisdom and build new businesses with our partners through "Innovation." We will continue to act with "Integrity" by placing the trust of our customers and society above all else.

Under this new Management Philosophy Structure, we have launched our "Medium-Term Management Plan 2030" starting in fiscal 2026. This marks the first stage of our strategic execution phase, backcasted from our "Long-Term Vision 2035." We will vigorously transform our business portfolio through three growth strategies: "Value Chain Expansion" by moving into peripheral businesses and enhancing capabilities, "Acceleration of Global Expansion" by leveraging our strengths, and "Utilization of Third-Party Capital" through a capital-light business model. By accelerating growth investments and co-creating with our partners, we will build unprecedented ecosystems that transcend traditional finance. We thereby aim to achieve ambitious targets for fiscal 2030: a net income of 200 billion yen and an ROE of 12.5% or higher. Looking further ahead to fiscal 2035, we have set our sights on reaching a net income of 400 billion yen and a market capitalization of 5 trillion yen.

Since our human talent is the ultimate foundation supporting these strategies, we are committed to maximizing our human capital. To empower a diverse workforce to take on a wide range of challenges, we are shifting to a market-aligned compensation system and a new personnel structure that recognizes and rewards medium-to-long-term initiatives.

Furthermore, we have introduced a CxO system to establish an advanced corporate governance framework optimized for the entire Group.

At Tokyo Century, we will continuously pursue the harmony of morality and economy―while we seek ongoing profits as a commercial enterprise, we will never choose a path that prioritizes profit alone. Constantly asking ourselves whether this business embodies our Purpose, we will foster an organization where everyone—from executive leadership to front-line employees—is capable of autonomously making the right decisions. I am convinced that responding to the needs of society and consistently delivering work we can be proud of will ultimately lead to the sustainable enhancement of our corporate value.

We now stand at a new starting line to become a leading company that guides society toward solutions for its most pressing challenges. Together with all of our stakeholders, we will chart our story for the future, creating unprecedented value and striving to realize a better society.

I will take the helm to build a company that is trusted and respected by all our stakeholders. We invite you to look forward to the new challenges that Tokyo Century will undertake.
