The Governor and First Lady of U.S. State of Missouri Visit Tokyo Century

In October 2023, Michael L. Parson, Governor of the State of Missouri, and his wife visited Tokyo Century (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).

More than 70 Japanese companies now operate in Missouri, and CSI Leasing, Inc. (CSI), a major IT equipment leasing company and a consolidated subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation, is headquartered in St. Louis.
The governor and first lady, along with other delegates, came to Japan to attract Japanese companies to Missouri and promote investment there. As part of their trip, they visited our company, which is developing international business from Missouri through CSI.

Koichi Baba, President & CEO and Representative Director, Toshio Kitamura, Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of CSI, and Tatsuya Hirasaki, Director and Managing Executive Officer, welcomed the delegation and explained the Tokyo Century Group’s business strategy and future prospects. We also reported on CSI’s contributions to job creation and educational support in the state.

Exchanging a wide range of ideas for building relationships.

Governor Parson thanked CSI for its long-standing business operations based in St. Louis and stated that Missouri’s central location provided an advantage over other states in terms of logistics and taxation. He also spoke about the environment the state is creating for workforce development and training, as well as its focus on education and financial support.

The Tokyo Century Group will continue to engage in dialogue to develop our relationship with the state of Missouri, explore new business opportunities, and deepen our collaboration with the state to facilitate the further growth of CSI.
