Statement from the CEO
In fiscal 2026, the Tokyo Century Group has established our new Purpose: "Shaping Our Blue Planet." This Purpose serves as an unwavering North Star for us to remain a company needed by society even a century from now. It is also a testament to our commitment to placing SDGs at the core of our management.
To achieve further leaps forward, we must transform ourselves into an organization that takes on challenges, pursuing growth beyond mere extensions of the past. Now in our second founding phase, we have defined ourselves as "a company driving solutions to global social issues with an entrepreneurial spirit." We will further deepen our sustainability-driven management, which ensures that maximizing social and human talent value brings about economic value, ultimately maximizing corporate value.
Deepening Value Creation Through Businesses Addressing Social Issues
We place our materiality—five key issues—at the core of our management, including contributing to a decarbonized society, creating new businesses driven by technological innovation, and promoting sustainable resource use. By combining our capability for "Innovation" through co-creation with world-class partners, unique strength in discerning the value of assets, and specialized human resources, we will powerfully advance businesses addressing social issues, including the establishment of a circular economy. We will visualize the social impact generated through these efforts, encourage growth investments, and further refine our process to reliably connect non-financial value to financial value.
Human Talent Value and Governance Anchoring Our Transformation
The true foundation supporting our sustainability management is nothing less than the aspirations of each and every one of our people and their "Passion" for taking on challenges. Viewing human talent capability as a leading indicator of economic value, we have established a new human resources system to maximize our human capital. This enables professionals with diverse expertise to make new attempts in unprecedented domains.
At the same time, a sound and highly transparent management framework is vital to support this discontinuous growth. By strengthening Group governance through the transition to a C-Suite structure and fully implementing the Risk Appetite Framework, we will execute both sophisticated decision-making and robust risk management, building a resilient organization that earns the trust of all stakeholders.
Together with Our Stakeholders
Trust, or "Integrity," is the bedrock of everything we do. Charting a new story alongside our people and partners under the principle of the harmony of morality and economy—this is our path forward. We will deepen our dialogue with customers, shareholders, investors, and local communities as we continue to take on challenges for a sustainable future that extends 100 years ahead.
We invite you to look forward to the continued evolution of Tokyo Century.
