"We aspire to be a company driving solutions to global social issues with an entrepreneurial spirit." Koji Fujiwara President & CEO, Representative Director

I am honored and humbled to serve as President & CEO, Representative Director of Tokyo Century Corporation.

I would first like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and patronage.

Tokyo Century is guided by the Management Philosophy of “working alongside customers in pursuit of their growth and contributing to the creation of an environmentally sound, sustainable economy and society.” Concurrently, the world has reached a major turning point and is facing a plethora of social issues. Attention is being focused on geopolitical tensions, changes in globalization, advancements in artificial intelligence and the digital revolution, and global warming. In Japan, we are also navigating complex and diverse challenges brought about by simultaneous structural changes, including the transition from 30 years of deflation, a shift in monetary policy, and an accelerating decline in the birthrate and aging population.

Although these changes can pose risks to Tokyo Century’s commitment to creating an environmentally sound, sustainable economy and society, we see them as a watershed moment—an opportunity to address social issues and create a better world and a sustainable society. Since the merger in 2009, our company has been expanding its business domains and building a unique business model based on our “Finance × Services × Business Expertise” concept, while constantly creating new value in line with the changing times. The pioneering entrepreneurial spirit underpinning these developments forms the basis of our company, and I believe that it will serve as the foundation for driving solutions to global social issues.

What the world will look like in ten years is uncertain. Nevertheless, the energy issues we face in realizing a decarbonized society, along with the digital revolution driven by advanced communication technology and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence, will surely confront us with a business environment that demands unprecedented changes and speed. In this environment, the Tokyo Century Group's capacity for co-creating businesses with a wealth of partners is what truly counts. This strength sets us apart from our competitors and serves as a driving force for our medium- to long-term growth. Our collaborations with partners in various industries are underpinned by the expertise we have honed as a financial services company and by our diverse and highly specialized professionals. With these strengths, we have been receiving business proposals from a variety of companies.

Today, awareness of environmental conservation and resource management is taking root, and subscription-based business models are becoming the norm. Consumers are increasingly prioritizing the convenience and experience gained through use, rather than ownership itself. We therefore promote the reuse and recycling of assets while focusing on their value. By combining our partners' functions with our own, we aim to provide assets and services customers can utilize in diverse ways. Through such asset life cycle management, we will enrich people's lives. With a focus on a circular economy, we remain committed to engaging in businesses spanning from production and consumption to post-use management, creating social value together with our customers.

"Solutions to your Pursuits."

This is Tokyo Century’s corporate slogan. It encapsulates our desire to support both our customers and employees in chasing their ambitions, so that the accomplishment of those ambitions acts as a driver for the Company's ongoing growth and a better society. Our company's greatest asset is our people. We will enhance our human capital and revamp our corporate culture to create a comfortable and fulfilling workplace, an environment where we proactively take on challenges, an evaluation system in which individuals’ contributions to the company are rewarded, and a culture full of diversity. In this way, we will drive the “enhancement of the work environment, leading to the strengthening of human resources,” which is one of our materiality items. As a leader, I am committed to taking the initiative in making Tokyo Century a company that is trusted and respected by all of our stakeholders, and thereby improving its corporate value.
