Hong Kong Secretary for Transport and Logistics Pays Courtesy Visit to Tokyo Century

On 4 July 2024, a delegation led by Hong Kong’s Secretary for Transport and Logistics, LAM Sai-hung, visited Tokyo Century (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), which is developing business worldwide. The purpose of their visit was to promote investment in Hong Kong’s maritime industry and encourage Japanese companies to establish and expand their presence in Hong Kong. 

 

During the visit, Secretary LAM discussed the current situations of Hong Kong’s maritime, logistics, and tourism industries, emphasizing initiatives aimed at enhancing international maritime transport. The delegates exchanged their ideas and opinions mainly concerning issues and future prospects of the maritime industry in Hong Kong and Japan.

Tokyo Century’s representatives, including President & CEO and Representative Director Koichi Baba, Managing Executive Officer Yoshihiro Ueda, Specialty Finance Business Unit I Deputy President Koichi Onaka, welcomed the delegation and highlighted Tokyo Century’s business performance in finance for shipping and other assets within their Specialty Financing segment. Additionally they shared the company’s sustainability initiatives. 

 

Under the partnership strategy set forth in the Medium-Term Management Plan 2027, Tokyo Century will engage in various dialogues and deepen collaboration with our domestic and overseas partners, thereby exploring new business opportunities. We will strive to further intensify our partnership and create value.
